For more than 130 years, OTT has been the world leader in hydrological instruments and systems. The history of OTT reflects innovation and progress in Hydrometry. In 1873, Mr. Albert Ott established the Institute for Precision and Measuring Technology, A.OTT. The first instrument, a current meter from 1875, is still recognized as a cornerstone in the field of hydrometric measurement technology. OTT’s guiding principle has always been to produce quality, state-of-the-art technology. This principle has been achieved by maintaining our philosophy to recognize and support our customers’ needs.

Since OTT’s founding in 1873, the company has become Germany’s largest independent producer of complete hydrometric systems.
